William Kilburn Flora is an eCommerce website for a collection of botanical prints and greeting cards, based around heritage artwork by William Kilburn.
The project included the logo design and branding, helping to create a visual identity that felt calm, elegant and in keeping with the heritage artwork.
The aim for the website was to create a site that felt calm, considered and easy to use, giving the artwork plenty of space while still working properly as an online shop.
We designed and built the website in WordPress using WooCommerce, creating a clear structure for the product ranges, categories and individual product pages. The site has been set up so visitors can browse naturally, whether they are looking for a particular print, a greeting card, or simply exploring the collection.
The design keeps the focus on the artwork, with a soft colour palette, clean layouts and simple typography. Rather than overcomplicating things, the site lets the botanical illustrations do most of the talking.
Stripe has been integrated for secure online payments, with a straightforward checkout process from product selection through to order completion.
As part of the eCommerce website setup, product categories and filtering help make the catalogue easier to navigate, giving customers a simple way to narrow down the collection and find what they are interested in.
The site also includes the usual SEO foundations we build into WordPress projects, including clear page structure, considered metadata and product content that supports search visibility over time.
The website is fully responsive, so it works well across desktop, tablet and mobile.
To help the client manage the site confidently, we also provided tailored video tutorials covering areas such as adding products, managing orders and making day-to-day updates.
We also host the website, helping to keep it fast, secure and reliably available.
