Taplin Gallery – Ecommerce

The Brief

Marianne came to Woodbridge Web needing a website to help push her gallery business online.

The Taplin Gallery has been a trading on Woodbridge High Street since 1987, selling local artwork, prints, ceramics, sculptures, jewellery and greetings cards. The time had come to increase their customer reach UK wide.

Project Update: Unfortunately after severe flooding of the Taplin Premises, the gallery lost most of their art work and decided to stop trading as a result. We have left the website here for you to see in screenshots.

The Result

Woodbridge Web have developed a powerful ecommerce website for the Taplin Gallery to sell their goods.

Based on the WordPress + WooCommerce platform, it is easy for Marianne to login and mange orders, add and change products, and add news items to the website.

We ensured the design was simple and clean, but easy to navigate. The design was lead by the Taplin Galleries Logo, utlising branding colours and the clean feel. Strong use of imagery helps sell the products.

Sections on the homepage such as the Card of the Week and instagram feeds help them promote specifc products across multiple platforms.

Fully responsive, the Taplin Gallery website will look great on Smartphones and tablets too. We also host and help with the website on an ongoing basis.

The Response

Marianne from the Taplin Gallery loves the new website, as well do her customers. They are starting to see traffic and orders increase from all over the UK.

Woodbridge Web also gave 1-to-1 tuition on how to manage orders and products. Marianne is able to continually add products to her website as she see’s fit.
