Natural Habitat is a Suffolk-based environmental education charity focused on reconnecting communities with nature, food and each other. Through projects, educational programmes and partnerships with farms, schools and local organisations, they help improve access to land-based learning while supporting biodiversity, wellbeing and sustainable land use.
Working alongside London branding agency WMH-I, the project involved a full rebrand and new website to better reflect the charity’s work and long-term direction. The design combines bold colour, strong typography and nature-led imagery to create a clean, engaging and approachable online presence.
We handled the website design and development, building the site in WordPress with a strong focus on flexibility and ease of use for the team managing it day to day. The build includes custom post types and structured relationships between projects, resources, collaborations and locations, making content easier to manage internally while helping visitors explore related information naturally throughout the site.
A lot of attention was given to structure and usability, particularly around key areas such as projects, educational resources and partnerships. An interactive locations map helps connect the charity’s work with the communities and places involved, while the overall layout keeps information clear and easy to navigate across desktop and mobile devices.
Alongside the build, we also provide ongoing web hosting, maintenance and support to help keep the website secure, updated and running smoothly. We also produced a set of tailored video tutorials so the team can confidently manage and update the site themselves without needing ongoing technical support for everyday changes.
